Dear Coaching Applicant,

Thank you for considering applying to coach a baseball team, either for a spring league team, a summer team, or both. You are the single most important component in the success of the Grand Ledge Youth Baseball program, and the Board of Directors sincerely appreciates your willingness to donate your time and expertise to our program. As you know, there can only be one head coach for each team. Therefore, the Board of Directors has established a Coach Selection Committee that is charged with selecting the best possible head coaches to run our teams. If you are not selected as a head coach, it is my sincere hope that you will find an alternative way to assist the program, either as an assistant coach, or in some other capacity.

INTERVIEWS: A copy of your driver's license or State issued ID is required. A background check will be performed for all coaches, including all assistant coaches. Please click on the "coaching info" tab then select "coaches application" to submit for a background check.  You will be contacted by the Coach Selection Committee to schedule an interview time. Please email [email protected] once you have submitted your background check application.

REQUIRED COMMITMENTS:

1) All baseball coaches, including assistants, are expected to attend Coach Householder's baseball coaching clinic.  On March 23, Coach Smith and his staff will present a coaching clinic from 7-9 p.m. 

2) All GLYB head coaches, or their representative, are REQUIRED TO ATTEND spring league evaluations to evaluate and draft.

3) All coaches must attend the league rules meeting.
